Brief history of the Organization:
Samarpan is a registered organization under the Indian Trust Act 1182. It was established in 23rd Sep. 2005. But it was registered as a trust on 28th December 2006.In 2005 itself the organization took up activities of making people aware, sensitive and creative in both rural and urban areas of Giridih & Koderma District. The organization believes that people cannot struggle on issues and against exploitation and oppression on their own.

It found it necessary that its activists take up the issues and organize the people so as to enable them to get their right. At the moment the organization takes up issues and concentrates its activities in Giridih & Koderma District of Jharkhand. The organization initiated its efforts to strengthen youth groups as a tool of social mobilization.

ABOUT THE ORAGANISATION

The concept of egalitarian society has always eluded the civil society. Most of them have advocated that it is almost impossible to hope for one such society yet we can always try to attempt to mould the existing world order for the betterment of the society and of late number of civil society organization which have originated and scaled up themselves to cater to the need of the societies and its most deprived classes . These organization, how known as non governmental organizations are the result of positive effort of a group of dedicated workers drawn from different social disciplines effectively channeled in the right direction.

Vision

An egalitarian society where there is freedom and justice tempered by values of love and happiness.

Mission
To organization exploited and oppressed people of Jharkhand so that, they could control natural resources, work for decentralization of poor, self rule and self-reliance to bring in an egalitarian society based in freedom and justice this should tempered with values of love and happiness.

• To people’s media Advocacy.
• To preservation and conservation of the environment.
• To protecting Health training.
• To training for folk-theater and dance.

• To creation of libraries, study circle. (mobile library)

• To education for traditional agriculture and organic farming.
• To publications of pamphlets, magazine, news letters etc.
• To creation of networks

OPERATIONAL AREAS OF SAMARPAN:-
Currently SAMARPAN extends its service to more than 32,000 Thirty two thousand of population of 4 district in Jharkhand scattered in 83 villages of 20 Panchayats in 9 blocks .

Target Group:

Dalits in society, OBC, uncared for weaker sections, exploited classes like women, adulation girls, children, physically challenged, small and marginal farmers, labour, craftsmen, elders, helpless and ailing.

NETWORKING : Samarpan is working as lead partner with same networking effort at district state and national level thanks to the effort of the like minded organization who have not only understood the philosophy of Samarpan. But also extended their whole hearted support to serve the poor and under privileged in the state. The details of the network with which we are currently a member are:-
